"The codebase is designed to restrict reporting on a quiz to the user who created it, but in 4.5.1, only the host account sees that menu."
What does that mean? Does it have an option to show quiz result after each question or only after you complete the quiz? Does it have a popup which shows or explains the correct answer and explains it after each questions is answered?
Sorry, for asking so many questions. I am planning to buy it but I am also looking for these features.

Again... There are many (many) Quiz scripts that exist both in PHP and ASP. Simply do a Google search for "Quiz script" (and similar searches). Some are free, some are commercial. One I just saw uses an Access Database and is free, Another over at "CodeProject" uses XML feeds for the quiz.

The only caveat is no, they are not DNN modules. This can be a good thing and bad thing. Bad thing in that it need be administrated seperately (which happens to be how many sites use scripts, ie: PHPBB for example is not administrated within Joomla or Mambo or PHPNuke etc). Good points are that its not a module (and thus is not eating SQL DB space, ram etc).

Again (said it many times before)... DNN sites are NOT limited to DNN Modules. You can happily run many (many) other scripts/applications within DNN iFrames.

In this case you would set up your quiz script to run independently as it normally does, then host it inside an iFrame. Done. Dont like the script, many others to try.

Most of the "pain" with some scripts such as say PHPBB is they have their own seperate login/password's needed. I am working on as time allows a bridge between DNN and ANY script that would require a userID and password just as has been done for CMS systems such as Joomla and another exists for PHPNuke etc. When done and tested I will happily give it to the DNN community to enjoy.

Well, I didn't know that you can run other applications in a dnn site! What other application? And how does one run an application in an iframe if its not already on a website?Or, if you could direct me to a website where I can find all this info, that will be great.

On the other hand, if you which other applications can be run in dnn website, which are not dnn module, please let me know.

Thanks for the insight.

Sincerely.

Now that's exciting.. there are tons of php scripts I'd like to be able to run within the DNN user management. There are very cool and free PHP quizz scripts already out there. Some means of letting the script be handled within a module so that it can be managed by DNN tabs and panes would be handy as well.

I have seen at least one php tool on snowcovered but I'm not entirely sure if it did this sort of thing.

Why do PHP has so many quiz scripts and DNN has none, well the ones DNN have are very limited. Why are DNN experts not converting survey in a quizzing module? Won’t it be easy as most of the work is already done. Experts can add an option to show diff survey on different page, like have a button, which says go to the next survey/question. In addition, each answer can be explained by having a pop up window.
Actually, if one can only allow the Admin to change the names like survey to question it would help too. Additionally, instead of correct answers, which we see as >correct answer< we can have it in blue color, bold and incorrect answers in red.
So, in short, different survey on diff pages, instead of all on one page. Answers to be colored, more info in a pop up or in the same window to explain the answer like- why this is correct and why this is wrong. We have a quiz module!!
