Hello, i have been dis-heartened DNN for about a while now, since my DNN based site response was unacceptably slow... a recent "second chance" for DNN met with more failure, due to the installation for 04.05.00 and 04.06.00

OK, i have now uploaded a clean install with 04.06.02 and was met with failure at the database install stage. After landing up on this thread again, i have implemented Alpha Zero's method above... i done it exactly as stated apart from the Auto Install (legacy method)  some how picked up the variable "dnn_" that i wanted to prefix the database table names with... from a previous attempt.  (example of the table name is dnn_Version)

Just for example, previous failed auto installs write the table names with no prefix.
(I am not sure if there are any clues there for those on the installaion project?)

I have noticed the only install wizard summary error was:
00:00:00.093 -   Executing Script: DotNetNuke.Schema.SqlDataProvider Error! (see DotNetNuke.Schema.log for more information)
doubtless this will cause issues later ?

Anyway the DNN install for 04.06.02 appears to working ok, apart from i have not got the "Host" tab on the default website, maybe because i have installed the site in the sub directory /dnn. [a side note], Do i need to set the "HostHeader" attribute? to www.myrealdomainName.com/dnn/

Hi, I get the same problem as discussed in this article.

Is there any solution?

Ricky.

Well, i'm not 100 percent sure yet, but I think it has something to do with the value for the attribute databaseOwner in

    <data defaultProvider="SqlDataProvider">
      <providers>
        <clear />
        <add name="SqlDataProvider" type="DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider" connectionStringName="SiteSqlServer" upgradeConnectionString="" providerPath="~\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\" objectQualifier="" databaseOwner="" />
      </providers>
    </data>

When I fill in dbo for databaseOwner, then install is not a problem. When a use an empty string, I get the error.  Somewhere  the databaseOwner attribute is not correctly used, and therefore a call to GetVersion fails. Probably all others than dbo (the default) fail.
I hope to give more details later. By the way, I'm using the 4.5.5 install package. The only things changed are the connectionstrings in the web.config, and the databaseOwner attribute.
