Most people learn by examples, there are plenty around and on my site there is one as well as here

I would suggest try and do your skin as HTML and put the minimum amount of tokens in there. Try and use DreamWeaver as it does a clean job of it. And you point to any image referenced from the html the usual way. You do need id="contentpane" runat="server" so dont forget that and see how when you pars the skin the portal translates it to ascx. Then by comparing the ascx file with the html you can learn a lot. and your questions on how to do the images will be answered..

Thanks Solaro. Unfortunately there is such a delay in the moderation here, that I'm not sure when my messages are going to show up.

I ended up fixing my image issue in styles by using the "images" directory I mentioned in a previous post. I was still stumped on "in page" images, however. I ran across a packaged skin, and peeked inside, and sure enough there's a "<%= SkinPath %>" directly before in-page images. I ended up changing all of my images to match this, and viola!

Thanks again for all of your help, Solaro.

Hi Lance, Glad to see you sorted your problem.

I've got a simple video I've created, that explains about skinning - it's a general overview but the next video we're working on at the moment covers in more detail, information about the skin file itself. I've also got about 20 skin so available for download that you can also open and have a look at.

Yes sometimes moderation slows things down a bit but we're working hard at making times more responsive..

Glad you got it working, there are different ways you can work with your images so I hope you've learnt a few things here.
