Right you only really do need the users email and name for this if you have a form that is already collecting that it is simple to register tham as a user - log them in and then they have an account and you have a user you can now market to - if thats the goal

I have this written into my new site that i hope to release in a few weeks months (whenever i can scrable together time to finsh) :P

This would more likely be something initiated in the DNN Core, since it will no doubt require a redirection (and return) from the built-in DNN authentication/registration provider.  Currently, the DNN logon control does not support return to a specific page in the workflow that initiated it.

The core already has this. Both the registration and login support a returnUrl parameter to which it will redirect on successful login or registration. This functionality has been there since version 3.0. Once I get the source, I will be adding this feature as I need it for one of my clients and I'd be have to donate it back to the project.

I'm curious if there have been any updates to this subject?  It sounds like the plan is to have the "Enroll for this Event" available regardless of login status, and then if they user isn't logged in, they are taken to a login/register page to take the appropriate action, then DNN will enroll the user and return to the page stating that the user was enrolled.

Thanks

There is not much work done on the event module for some time. I am inviting people to join the DNN team to create a new version.

It is important that all issues are logged in Gemini. AFA I can see, this issue is not entered yet.
If I am correct, can you enter this issue?
