Hi Guys,

I am designing a new skin, the skin color is a charcoal color, the Login, Search, Copyright, Terms etc:, have changed to a blue, does anyone know what is the CSS to change them?

See the problem here at www.adeptris.co.uk

Try over-riding the "SkinObject" class definitions in your skin stylesheet. In your present skin stylesheet, this class is not defined so it's cascading down from default.css.

Add this to your skin's CSS file

A, A:link, a:Visited{

color:#FFFFFF;

}

The color is being inherited from default.css and you have to overrule it.

Hi Nik

Thanks for the speedy reply, I copied from default, moved and edited the code in the Skins CSS file, and that seems to work, apart from the Search text / label, the DNN link and on the feedback module the text labels are still blue!

Any Idea's on these?

You'll need to adapt the CommandButton and SubHead classes for these.

Instead of doing this bit-by-bit, may I suggest that you grab all the style definitions from default.css (except the menu styles), bring them into your skin.css and then modify them as needed. A good way to find out where styles are being used is to either use the FireBug extension with FireFox, or to just change color values to something easy to spot. Then as you navigate the portal you can quickly see where styles are being used and adjust the color values as appropriate.
