So I refreshed my test site, installed 4.1.0, updated the event queue table to mark the upgrade event complete, and all seems OK.

To confirm.  The Gallery 4.1.0 is now working completely fine for you?  Do you think it was something with the general DNN install process that had failed, or something with the gallery module that wasn't going right?

Yes the gallery is working for me. Though not ideal since it involved editing a table on SQL, something I'm happy with, but others may not be.

I would suggest a test migration through from your 2006.12.08 version to 04.01.00 on DNN 4.5.1. And check to see if it leaves aany errors in the log.

It appears to be getting an error when calling the module after application restart to perform any upgrade options.

However I may previously have edited the business controller settings to remove search errors. It's been some time, and I know I did this on DNN 3, but not sure if I had to on DNN 4.

I'll try and run some tests, but time is limited currently.

James,

I just ran through a test:-

  • Installed default 4.51 DNN
  • Installed Gallery 3.0.12
  • Replaced with Gallery 2006.12.08
  • Installed Gallery 04.01.00

I get the General Exception and Host m guessing the previous versions may have been upgradeable, but not this version. I think you will be quickest at spotting the problem.
