When we develop a DNN module, we have to use a template like ii:ii:ii to define a version number. I'm working with subversion to manage my sources. So ...

Is it possible to use a version number like xx:xx:xxx (x = digit) to deploy my DNN Module from dev env. to prod env. ?

How you manage your version number ?

DNN modules support version numbers of xx.xx.xx where x is a number.

I typically increment my versions in the following pattern

Major . MInor . Build

For example my first module build would be

01.00.00

Small modifications and deployment would result in

01.00.01

Then after that a medium version change would be

01.01.00

Personally it all depends on the specifics behind your desired development methods.  I personally do it only to ensure that I am aware of the code differences between my development environment and my testing/production enviornments.
