I don't know about anyone else, but I would really like to see DNN upgrade the ICSharpZipLib. They have added some really nice features like FastZip which allows you to zip/ unzip files as you upload/ download them into whatever directory you specify. Unfortunately, the namespace is the same as the one included with the DNN core, this creates ambiguous namespace references for classes like ZipEntry that the core uses.

Of course this prevents folks like me from being able to use FastZip becuase it breaks the core if you add a reference to ICSharpZipLib.SharpZipLib.Zip to the core.

So IMHO a current version of ICSharpZipLib would be a very welcome update.

Cheers!

Glad to hear I am not alone. What can be done about it? How do I proceed to ask the core team to update ICSharpZipLib?

Cheers!
