Once a year I start my round up of the latest updates to DNN. It's that time of year again, but I have a question. Is it possible to run ASP.NET 1.1 and ASP.NET 2 on the same server? I still have some old DNN2.1.2 sites that I can't convert over just yet. Plus there's the time constraints of testing and everything, I'm not prepared to risk breaking my server just to test something out. I've confirmed that DNN3.2.2 has most of the features I need and is fairly stable (now I have the caching set right). But I want to see what DNN4 has to offer. That requires an upgrade to ASP.NET 2, something I'm not prepared to risk blindly. So, is it possible to run them both together?

Yes you can install and run ASP NET 1.1 and 2.0 on the same server.

But 4.0.2 is exactly the same as the version 3.2.2 there are no differences in the feature, the only difference is that 4.0.2 is running only on ASP.NET 2.0 and that the project is migrated to work with VS 2005.
