Hi,

Using the documents module I have uploaded some PDF documents... However if there is a space in the name of the document e.g. 'My Document.pdf' (instead of 'MyDocument.pdf') Firefox doesn't seem to be able to associate the correct application with it and because it only includes the file name up to the space even the user is going to struggle to identify the correct application to open it with.

I notice that DNN is sending back a response-type of 'application/octet-stream' which probably explains why Firefox can't automatically identify the file.

Is this a bug in DNN? Firefox? Both? Is there a work-around?

Cheers,

Dale

Dale ~

I'm going to move this post over to the Documents project forum so that it will come more quickly to Anthony Glenwright's attention.  He's the lead of the documents project and could probably provide the best explanation.  By the way, what version of the documents module are you working with?

Cheers

What DNN version are you using?  Some of the early DNN 4.x (up to about DNN 4.4) versions had a bug that caused this.
