Here's an extra one from my server.  It must be IP based because I was also able to do one at work today.

Anyone out there on AOL?  Those IP addresses change regularly even within a single session.

Duh! Why didn't I think of that. I have 5 servers myself that I manage. I guess I am just overwhelmed trying to get large blocks of votes. Here is the deal.

There are two YouTubers that are dominating the voting by getting their followers to vote them up and others down. Well until today, it was not that big of a deal because at least they were voting pretty much everyone down. Now I seem to have noticed that I am getting voted down more heavily than others. So I really need some help quickly. Once I get above about 800 votes, it is going to be hard to move my average either way. Right now I have almost 600 votes.

According to the math, if I could just get a block of about 150 - 200 quick 10 votes, then I would leap from my current 15th place to 3rd...right behind the YouTubers who did not even bother to create a new video for the Semi Final round.

So how about it. Could many of the several hundred people on this website right now pitch in and push me to the top? Just go to http://www.nextinternetmillionaire.com/show.php?id=658 and vote 10.

Thanks again for all your support.

Cliff, have you created a squidoo lens? I see there are only two tagged at http://www.squidoo.com/tags/The%20Next%20Internet%20Millionaire and if you had one it would put you one click away from Joel's lense on this contest. Might help you out.

Another thing. ever heard of an anomyous proxy? Cheating I know but its seems like that is already going on.

One more thing. Google and Yahoo groups. If you can find ones on the same topic and you join the groups you have a resource. A lot of the people on these groups have their settings to recieve email from the groups. Sometimes there are thousands of people on these groups that will get an email if something is posted to the group forum.

Craigslist and Us Free Ads. Both can drive some traffic if you write the ad correctly. Craigslist is good becuase you can target multiple cities. Make sure you target the right category or your ad will be deleted. I could teach some sneaky tricks for Craigslist that will get good results, but you need to be able to fly under the radar and this won't work here becuase your name is on what you want to advertise.

This is a numbers game and the more eyeballs you cna get it in front of the better chance you have. That is what the YouTubers are doing. I looked at the top people and I would bet they are using myspace.com too.

You may not be able to get your story dugg, but you may be able to get it on reddit.com or netscape.com as a story.

If I think of any other tricks for driving traffic in a hurry I'll let you know.

hth
