Today, our site uses three panes: One quite narrow left, a broader content pane in the center and a narrow right pane.

Now, I'd like to remove the right pane and all its contents but I can't figure out how to do that whith a minimum of impact on the site.

Any suggestions? All information is going to be useful to me as a new beginner on this tool...

Are you wanting to delete all of the modules assigned to the pane and get rid of the pane or just one of those tasks? I don't believe there's a way to delete all modules added to a pane. If you remove the pane, they will be added to the ContentPane, by default. If you want to remove the pane, you'll have to do that from the skin. It's a fairly simple task. Copy the current skin, find the <div>, <span>, or <td> with an ID of RightPane, and either remove it or remove the ID and/or runat="server" attribute.

By the way, skins are located in the /Portals/_default/Skins/<skin name> directory.

I have a similar problem.  I have a grid which I would like to enlarge horizontally.  Changing the grid width in properties didn't do anything.  I noticed that the grid is in the center pane and that the left and right panes are taking up room.

I just want to delete the left and right panes.  Is there any way to do that (outside of skins-which I know nothing about, let alone asp code)?

If you don't use your panes, they don't take any place (at least not in view mode)

Please use the right forums next time -- this one deals with the iframe module.
