My tech deleted the tmp files from folder: Documents and settings/<Username>/ASPNET/...  We replaced what files the computer would allow and it fixed most of our problems,

but now when you log in as admin, admin see the pages fine, sees the module themselves fine, but does not seen any content within the modules(i.e. a links module is missing the links).

Admin can not edit text in a standard Text/HTML module, even if I add a new module as admin.  The edit text functionality is gone.

If I logout the links are there in the modules, other users see the links as well.  Admin has permissions to see and edit the pages, and modules.

Any ideas?

thanks,

Dean

No that is not it.  It is in edit mode.

Also, the admin user see the modules like it should but the modules are EMPTY, no content what so ever.

I set up a second login called "admin2" and gave same roles and it works fine it sees the modules, it sees the content in the modules and it can edit the modules.

Anymore ideas.

thanks,

Dean

Well, my guess is probably as good as yours at this point.  Did you add the new admin2 to the administrators security role?  If so, why not delete the admin account and rename admin2 to admin and be back square?  Sounds like you were seeing what you needed to with the new account.  I think there's probably an sql query you could run to delete the corrupt admin account and this would probably be the better course of action.  Unfortunately, I don't have these sql skills. I'll let others offer suggestions there.  Let this post marinate for awhile before implementing my advice.  I would like to hear what others suggest.  You do have a recent backup of the site, right?

It is not possible to delete the admin user by the DNN gui, thus I would have to do it via the tables.

I have checked the tables and it appears admin and admin2 have the same setting thus I am not choosing that action as of yet.
