I have given the nework services account full control to the physical directory yet I am still getting this error does anyone have a clue what I might have missed.  This is on the install.

I don't actually have W2K3 yet so take this with a grain of salt.  :)  I've heard of this a couple times now.  I'm wondering if the permissions are not being propigated down.  You know like in 2K or XP you set the permissions and then the dialog asks if you want to apply to just this folder or to all files and folders below.  I'm just being curious.

What permissions do you have showing for web.config it'self?

I have given the internet account and the system network services account full access this file. I also did the same for the dotnetnuke folder and told it to propagate to the subfolders. I checked and the persmission were applied all the down to the file level.  I am running windows 2003 server with IIS6 and I have completed all the instructions in the install guide.   Not sure where to go from here..

Ok the fix for this was to give permissions to the inetpub and wwwroot directories for ASP.NET and Network services.
