Yes that is true, but it depend how to code custom module. We use for all application only one form module (we also sell it: http://components.init.si) There is really many options for complex solution (so knowledge of module is really important)  but all can be solved using module, SQL, HTML and Javascript so our DNN "site-developers" do not need coding in .net environment. Using this way also  really complex sites (shop from scratch for example) can be build by one  person in couple of weeks.

For my father birthday, i'm building DNN web to his office.
I want to embed support tickets module to allows his customers to open tickets
and for his emplyees to review and change the tickets status.

I've just played with Enterprise forms module, it's pretty cool, it allows creating
forms and basic workflows very fast.
I noticed there are few forms modules, i would love to get recommendation & criticism about
module you had experience with. I want to be sure i buy the right module for me.

Thanks.

If you choose to go with a module package specifically designed for support systems,  you can get setup quickly with all the features you'll need using SigmaPro - www.OnyakTech.com - www.SigmaProDraconis.com.   H2O (forms module) is also included with SigmaPro 6.5 if you should decide later that you prefer a forms module instead.

As a developer i totally agree that complex logic should not be based on data (e.g. forms) but
on some domain model, a lot of words have been written about this subject.
In this case, i don't have the time to write a module and the scenario is very simple (just filling support
form and admin will review the tickets).

I wish I had more specific info on the various forms modules. I'd love to see a comparison of the modules out there. It'd be great if DNNCreative.com did a comparison...

You might first want to look at the newest core Feedback module. It's a lot more flexible now and might meet your needs.

Otherwise, I've only used FormCreator 1.6 which doesn't even appear to be around anymore. Haven't played with any of the others. Sorry I can't be more help.
