I just installed a brandnew DNN environment for testing and I need the BLOG module in it, so I installed the Blog/Forum as well.

I setup the configuration and the categories.

When I add a new blog, the item shows up immediately after inserting. But when I re-enter the module after leaving the page, nothing shows up! The mainpage displays the categories and the number of items, but the items themselves are nowhere to be found.

Can I consider this as a bug?

You can find it at:

http://visualdata.no-ip.org/VD_eLearning_3/Blog/tabid/52/level/2/objid/5/Default.aspx

You can check out the eLearn Miscallenious collection. It has 3 items, but nothing shows up when you select it.

I am running DNN on Small Business Server what that means is that the IIS is not listening on port 80 but a mapped port in my case mel.jncd.com:9999 ... and external request gets mapped by the ISA server to the 9999 port.  DNN seems to operate fine with the older URL format but the FormBlog control makes a self reference when creating Forms to the site address with the port 9999 .. ISA then says no because port 9999 can not be referenced from the external side of the box.   Do not know how to explain the problem better than that.

Hmmm, IIS not listening on port 80? I think there is something wrong with your configuration because IIS definetly listens on port 80 on a SBS. Take a look here http://www.smallbizserver.net/Default.aspx?tabid=105. I have written a guide how to setup a public site on a SBS 2000 or 2003 server. BTW, www.smallbizserver.net runs on SBS 2003 Premium.
