Thanks.  I have looked at both Modules and I really thought MyProfile was the solution - until I tried to implement it and found it a little too restrictive or purpose built for what i had in mind.  Still playing with it though.....

The control panel extension is really something i wanted to do from the beginning.  I tried to the one from ArrowNuke only to find that it has some bugs with 4.+ that won't be fixed until the next release.  I tried the one from Dave Buckner as well - but with no documentation at all I am having a bit of a hard time trying to figure out hot to implement it.  If you have any experience or advice I would greatly appreciate it....
