I deleted the login module and now I'd like to reinstall it but there isn't a download for it.  I remember leaving the 'delete files' checkbox checked when I uninstalled it so I don't have a copy of the file(s) anywhere.

Can anyone clue me in on how to get a copy of the login module?

Thanks

My guess would be that you could download the install version of DNN and it should have the files in there that you could copy over and use.

See my post in that thread for instructions on how to get it back. Check your admin/security directory for signin.aspx. If it's not there, post back.

I think this is an area of DotNetNuke that needs some careful reconsideration.  There need to be some fail-safes somewhere in case people delete important things (like the login module or home page).

The thing is, the account login module doesn't act like a normal module. Checking "Delete files" has no effect (at least in my limited testing).

Perhaps a sort of "recovery console" could be created that could be temporarily uploaded to a DNN install. From there you could do common recovery tasks. Just make it so that you'd have to either login somehow (maybe use SQL credentials if you've forgotten your host password) or tell users to delete it immediately after they're done using it.
