After I run the Site Wizard to select the way the site should look, the register and login do not work. When I click on them, nothing happens. This is 4.5.3. I have installed this a couple of times with the same result. Login is available until I run the Site Wizard and then it breaks.

Exact steps to failure:

1.       Using Visual Studio 2005 create new web site with DotNetNuke installed 4.5 template.

2.       Delete web.config and rename release.config to web.config.

3.       Create new database in SQL 2000 and modify web.config to point to it.

4.       Run build in Visual Studio.

5.       Run installation in Auto Mode since others will not complete.

6.       Installation status complete and then click the link to access portal.

7.       Portal is complete at http://localhost:1612/DNN_45/Default.aspx

8.       Login as host and prompted for password change. Change password and log out and back in to test password change. OK.

9.       Setup site manually or with wizard and log out. Click on login link and nothing happens. Unable to login.

10.   Login page does not come back after change of page size skin color etc.

11.   I am not sure what to fix.

12.   I did not have any problems like this with v3xxx

I also ran into this in 4.5.3.  The following fixed it:

Go to  Admin/Site Settings/Advanced Settings/Page Management

set  User Page =  <None Specified>
