My website was running under my host similar to www.hostwebsite.com/mysite. I registered for a domain so I now have www.mysite.com to run on the same server but with my domain name. My site displays under the old URL but I cannot get it to show under the new one. I have added aliases and changed the host URL to my new domain. What other changes do I need to make to get my site to display? Web config changes, IIS? Everything looks OK but I am missing something as I get a "Page cannot be found" error. Help is greatly appreciated!!!

you need to set up (or get your host to set up) a domain alias.  www.hostmysite.com needs to have mysite.com as an alias. BTW - I have found that some hosts do not allow domain aliases forced me to change hosting companies when i first started using DNN.

How do I go about setting up a domain alias? I did that on www.hostmysite.com/mysite in the host settings. IIS points to the location of the files as they are in the same location. Do I need to reinstall DNN or anything like that to initialize for the new location and point to the same database where my content is already located?

You don't need to do anything with DNN if you have the portal setup correctly in your host settings .  A domain alias is set up outside of DNN.  How to set it up depends on your Hosting provider.  Usually this is set up it through your hosting  control panel (Plesk or whatever).  You also have to make sure that the DNS settings are correct in your setup with the domain registrar.  Contact support for whomever hosts your sites.  Usually there is a FAQ or Knowledgebase article on setting up a domain alias.
