  • ask your host to make sure, ther are no ASP 1.1. applications and ASP 2.0 applications are mixed in a single App pool
  • ask your host to make sure, that serverside compression is turned of
  • which 3rd party modules are installed?

have asked my host to do what you suggested but i still got the same error. during the installation, i didn't create a virtual directory but simply paste everything onto the root folder so that i can type www.mydomain.com to simply get to my site. i am not sure if this has anything to do with it? Or do i need to ask my host to assign me some particular permission?

thanks!

  • virutal directory is only necessary, if not installed in root folder of a web site.
  • Your issue might be due to a configuration issue of your web site in IIS, an ASP.Net or an IIS configuration error.
