DotNetNuke 4.5.3

I added an Alias to a parent portal today. And when I added the Alias, Site Settings > Logo and all modules with Page Settings > Icon Filename returned to <None Specified>. I had a Logo and Module Title Bar images set for many modules on the portal. I quickly removed the Alias, but that did not help. All the settings that changed remained <None Specified>.

Has anyone seen this kind of behavior before, or know what might be the problem?

I added an Alias to another portal, and this error did not occur.

If a problem can be solved, there's no use worrying about it.
If it can't be solved, worrying will do no good.

I have not noticed this behavior before at all.

Was there anything different between the modifications you completed before to the ones you completed the second time (without the error).  Differences in browser etc.

Wirking with DNN 4.5.3, I have also seen the logo filename revert to <none> several times while performing other configuration steps.  When this occurs the logo disappears from the site as well.  It looks like a binding/postback contention issue, perhaps caused by duplicated app instances on the server.  As a DNN newbie I don't have any answer though.

That's a good question: did I do somethinge 'before' the Add ALIAS that could have contributed to the problem? I don't so, mostly because a few weeks ago, when the portal was much smaller, the Logo also reset to <None Selected> when I made a previous Add Alias. I didn't think too much about it then because I only had to reselect just the Logo. But when I had to manually reset all the Module Icon Filenames (and it took much time to do this), this issue was more of a problem.

One other unusual time (a couple weeks ago) when the Logo reset to <None Specified> was when UDT Project teammate Stefan recommended a change I make in the site Stylesheet. When I added a small change, the Logo setting returned to <None Specified>. Again, I didn't think too much about it.

Actually, I just now made a small edit to Admin > Site Settings > Stylesheet Editor : and clicked Save Style Sheet - and the Logo disappeared again (the setting returns to <None Specified>). Module Icon Filenames are OK, but everytime I Save Style Sheet, the Logo setting returns to a chosen .GIF to <None Specified>.

I got the same behavior as well and reported it. It's fixed for 4.5.4.
