For several years I used WH4L because it was cost effective and let me ramp up a lot of sites quickly. As others have mentioned, I had some real problems with them, but complained enough to get on some better servers. Ultimately I had about 9 accounts with WH4L. Then I decided to go the dedicated server route and I ended up with PowerDNN www.powerdnn.com  because I wanted to work with DNN specialits.

I think WH4L has got its act together a little more now than a few years ago when it was really hard to operate a reliable site there. PowerDNN has some shared hosting as well.

If you are looking for someone to provide some individual attention and help with not just hosting but design as well, then I would be happy to work with you.

You can go to  http://www.theforerunnernetwork.com and use the Contact Us form to get in touch. I can provide a full turnkey service including hosting, email, stats, design, support, etc. I work with lots of non-profits and small groups on their web initiatives. I have auto-install of DNN 4.5.3 and many other CMS as well as Word Press, etc. I use DotNetPanel as my control panel for my clients to manage their accounts.

One good idea is to search the forums here for previous questions like yours - then you can see what people have said over time. I agree with cjsmitty - having used a host that just had DNN "available" vs. one that specializes in DNN made alot of difference. I have used PowerDNN for about 18 months now and am glad I made the switch. Not having to worry about anything on the server side combined with very fast servers and great support is worth a little extra $ per month to me.

I've had good luck with www.websecurestores.com hosting several sites.  I've hosted some online polls & surveys for various organizations with up to 4000 members and they've all gone smoothly.  Websecurestores.com seems to know what it's doing with DNN and their tech support is always very quick to respond (usually within 24 hours).  They've also got some discounts on hosting when purchasing for the year, and you can opt for a dedicated IP, etc.

I've had bad luck with GoDaddy and DNN.  They will install DNN but their tech support doesn't know what DNN is, and you can't do simple things like edit your web.config and access your SQL database.

I just had a bad experience with Lunarpages. (See the following thread for details: http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Community/Forums/tabid/795/forumid/108/threadid/153109/scope/posts/Default.aspx).
I don’t recommend them, and would be happy to get recommendation about another web hosting service for my DNN sites.
