I get exactly this same error after an upgrade from 4.5.3 to 4.5.4.

In addition, I first attempted to go to the Host | Lists menu, and received an identical message. Strangley, however, the Lists menu is now available after attempting to view the Security Roles Menu. Also, a 3rd party user management module does not have a problem viewing and managing security roles.

Which 3rd party are you using Rob? Is it any good?

I'm using UserManager from WorkControl. I purchased it mainly to provide delegated user management to non admins, however it can also be used by an admin. Yes it is good, and they have been fairly responsive in bug fixes and implementing suggestions.

I've just realized this problem is more serious. I can no longer get to any module settings or page settings. Again, "Invalid object name 'Lists'."
