I installed 4.0.2 starter kit and am using visual WebDev 2005 express.. with SQL 2005 express.. I followed the instructions.  created /connected to the database. changes XP file permissions and still get this error within the editor.. for Default.aspx

DotNetNuke Configuration Error

Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

DotNetNuke has extensive file upload capabilities for content, modules, and skins. These features require custom security settings so that the application is able to create and remove files in your website.  etc etc...

Im new to asp.net but fam. with developing. Id like to run my ecommerce site using DNN,  any help or direction would be appreciated thanx..

That error is caused by the beta 2 versions of VWD I believe (see http://www.dotnetfire.com/news.aspx?newsID=42490 ). Please make sure you've uninstalled any beta2 bits, and use the release version of VWD.
