I have google anaytics installed and working however it is picking up the admin and host user activity (as you would expect). Has anybody figured out how toexclude these accounts from been recorded. I know it can be done by IP address but mine changes all the time and we have several admin users so it would be hard to keep track off.

How do you have Google Analytics embedded.

I use it in a manner that limits the admin/host activity by using in a text/html module displayed on all pages, it at least gets rid of admin page traffic.

I am working on building my own google analytics module that will allow your desired filtering to be completed, but that is about 1-2 weeks out.  If you would like an update when I have it available send me an e-mail.

The Google Analytics is embedded within the skin file.
Just like many stat programs out there. Have been using StatCounter for months, and recommend it.

There should be a feature within your control panel of Analytics, where you can blacklist certain IP addresses.
In this case yours or any other admins.
I know there is a blacklist feature within StatCounter, so there should also be within Analytics.
If not, try another stat collection program.

Mitch's program will probably localize the stat program within the given portal. Looking forward to that.

Glad to help,

Please check this    Google Analytics 2.0  at  http://www.snowcovered.com/snowcovered2/Default.aspx?tabid=242&PackageID=7984

The good thing is .  It works exactly as your like, because it can exclude site administrator / super user activity  and can be used as module and skin object

The bad thing is . It doesn't free.
