With the resources available there are no valid reasons for making table layouts anymore. If you are a professional developer, you need to understand that.  It is beyond comfort or laziness now.  I won't go into the arguments too deeply because they were done to death 3 years ago!

DNN is being left behind from a design POV.  Want proof?  Take a look at DNN skins compared to Wordpress or Mambo templates.

Give YUI or perhaps Blueprint a try and see just how fast pure CSS production can be:

So Brent... if you are thinking about charging for your services... learn CSS.  (please)

The most complicated designs are just not capable of being rendered accurately in all browsers without the aid of at least some tables.

Hi hismightiness,

I visit a lot websites like cssmania. com and I can't think of any application they can't do. blogs, galleries, portfolios, catalogs even forms and so on. Not only that they can do it but it looks great, it renders great, it loads fast, it is full of creativity and it looks the same in all browsers.

I don't like to be self righteousness  Or to argue it is just a small note.

Thanks.

I was speaking of DESIGNS, not applications.
