ML modules are only needed, if a sigle site shall support multiple languages.

For supporting portals in another language you should at least add the language, but if the user shall get presentet the core elements like "submit" buttons in Arabic as well, you need to install the arab language pack. I am however not sure, if it is easily possible, to use same installation for English and Arabic, as for Arabic you might need to tweek ASPX files, adding RTL language direction atttribute, that would affect all portals in a single installation - my suggestion therefore is to use 2 DNN installations on the same server instead.

thanks leupold.. i hv created seperate pages, styles in the main portal( english portal) as well as in the child portal( for arabic).
only for arabic site, am giving direction=rtl. in the style and in the ascx file.
the problem i can see now is the localization of some words... for example, the search keyword in the page. it shows in english in both sites.
if i add Arabic Locale from avilable Locale dropdown in the Host login and apply it to the arabic site, after that, localizing the Search word with a correspnding arabic word, that word will come in the arabic site in the place of the english 'Search' text. am i right?? by this i can convert such names.. i think so..
anyway am inputing, editing english and arabic in different portals with different pages.. so what is the need of language pack and ML module.. i can localize if needed.. idont hv any experience in this.. firat time am doing this.. plz guide me..

the language pack will translate all the static items of the frameworks, items like "search", "edit", "update" and all content of settings pages.
