I did copy the SiteUrls.config from the config folder to root (my username folder). Note, I copied it, not moved it. This did not help. I am still getting the same runtime error.. :(

Waiting for you explicit instructions. Hope you have it up and running soon ! :)

Thanks

Did EXACTLY like you mentioned...from scratch (even though I had done this before, just to make sure I deleted everything)

Still getting that darn Runtime Error message !!!  :)

Hello Rajan,

Please set customErrors mode="Off" and post the specific error.  Be aware that this setting is case sensitive.  Once you retrieve the error message set customErrors mode="RemoteOnly"

Hello Michael,

Thanks for taking the time to address my problems.

Yes I do have customErrors mode="Off" (<customErrors mode="Off"/>) but still not getting the specific error in the web.config file which is in the root directory.

It sounds as if it is not able to read the web.config file .Previously when I removed the web.config file I got an error to the effect that file could not be accessed but now when I removed the file I get the error -

(The url is shown as : http://www.mywebsite.com/Install/Install.aspx?mode=none)

The page cannot be displayed
