Wether it is worth it or not is not what this thread is about.  If you want to debate Go Daddy hosting then please do so in a new thread.  This thread is simply about how to do it if you want to.  Nothing more.

Please stop trolling, it is against the forum rules and of no use.

People deserve to know the truth Michael.

No matter how much that hurts you.  The truth is that 69% of the people say your instructions do not work.  You do make a commission for Godaddy refferals.  That is the truth.  This thread is 50+ pages because you have been misleading people.

Godaddy hosting for DNN is the pits!  DNN is a great content management system which is EASY for ANYONE to operate if you have the right provider.  That's the truth.

On a side note... it is interesting how many of the posters to this thread have less than 5 posts to their credit.  Are you posting under multiple ids to bump the thread? That's not nice.  You know DNN tracks the IP addresses, so it could be proven/disproven if you want to challenge it.

To all those that have contributed to this thread.  Thank you.

Not arguing with you about the difficulties of Hosting Asp.Net sites (not just DNN) on Go Daddy, it is very difficult.  But it belongs in it's own thread.  Are you telling me there is absolutely no advertising or commission based links on your site?

I also want to thank you for brining this thread to the forefront again.  Go ahead and challenge it...please do.

Please stop trolling, I have sent a request to the admins regarding this.

I don't know what's up with what you guys are talking about...

What amazes me is the number of views on this thread - currently 483799.

Let's see if I got this straight. People spend HOURS if not DAYS trying to run DNN in some fashion on a 1&1 account for something like a buck a month or whatever. Don't you get it - you get what you pay for.

I don't know what your hourly rate is, but why not just get real and open a TRUE hosting account at a mainstream provider for something like $30 a month, and be done with it?

You want more horsepower and control, go dedicated.

What's the big deal?

You do it for $4.95 per month if you look at one of the sponsors here at DNN.

I'd like to complain to the admins about Michael using this board to collect commissions for Godaddy and providing false advice which does not work.  I'd like the admins to also review the accounts on this thread for duplicate registations/alias from his email/domain/ip addresses.
