Wondering if images that do not display correctly can return a different value?
Perhaps some kind of else command?

Feedback appreciated,

Westa,

Am wondering if images that do not display correctly trigger a different value.
Is there a way to check if the image has loaded correctly within the .ascx file?

If the image is on your server you can check to see if the file exists: http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.io.file.exists.aspx

If the image is not on your server you can use "response.GetResponseStream()" to check and see if the url to the image contains any bytes (see: http://www.csharp-station.com/HowTo/HttpWebFetch.aspx)

I just upgraded and have similar issues; an emoticon just shows the placeholder in the blog post in the general view.  Once I click on the title and display the full post, it displays fine.

So I just went through and removed all the smiley to avoid the red, sqaure placeholders from being displayed with the x....though they display fine when you view the full post.
