New Community Website

Ordinarily, you'd be at the right spot, but we've recently launched a brand new community website... For the community, by the community.

Yay... Take Me to the Community!

Welcome to the DNN Community Forums, your preferred source of online community support for all things related to DNN.
In order to participate you must be a registered DNNizen

Is it possible to configure the registration control so a new person registering has to fill out the profile at the same time?  I ask because the new user notification email the admin gets doesn't contain enough information.

You can set Profile fields as mandatory under User Accounts > Manage Profile Properties; and then check Require A Valid Profile For Registration under User Accounts > User Settings. This will set the site to require the user to complete all fields marked at Required under Manage Profile Properties when they register.

To get the details sent through on the notification email, I believe you can add additional tokens to the related email message in the Language Editor.

Message texts can be adopted using the Language Editor, to be found in Admin :: Languages (per portal changes) or in Host :: Languages (for all portals in the installation; please use "host" mode). The texs are to be found in /app_GlobalResources/GlobalResources.resx file, that is displayed by default.

If you are using latest DotNetNuke version, you can use any User, Membership or Profile token in notification modules (except boolean values for now). For your custom fields like "Profession" use "[Profile:Profession]" in the message text.
