I've run into an error with the calendar on a website I am developing - unfortunately, its on the live site, and I can't seem to fix it. The calendar module displays the following error:

Error: Events is currently unavailable.
DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime. Parameter name: value ---> System.ArgumentOutOfRangeException: The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime. Parameter name: value at System.DateTime.AddTicks(Int64 value) at System.DateTime.Add(Double value, Int32 scale) at System.DateTime.AddDays(Double value) at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventMonth.BindDataGrid() at DotNetNuke.Modules.Events.EventMonth.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

Anyone know what that is about? I'm guessing there is a corrupt entry in the database? How would I go about finding that and fixing it?

Thanks - I'd really appreciate any help anyone can provide - I'm under the gun because its a school website, and of course school starts next week!

So, this problem isn't so much a problem now, but it got really weird. I tried the site from another computer - it worked fine. I rebooted my computer (the site is hosted on a separate server, not the workstation I was accessing the site from), and it now works fine. I checked the time (before the reboot) on my local computer and server, because it looked like something related to system time, and they were all correct.

This appears to be a client-side problem. This isn't urgent any longer as its working, but I wonder what caused the problem??

Based on my testing, this error occurs if your default page is set to anything other that Month view.  when I changed my default view to Month View, it works properly, but if I set it to anything else, I get this error until I click on the View Month button.

This seems to indicate the the module class is only being instantiated during the View Month event.

Hope this helps.

This is a much bigger problem than is being represented here.  Since the last update to 3.3.8,  when you have a calendar module on the front page to show a list of calendar entries from a calendar module on a different page your users will get the "Error: Events is currently unavailable" error.

... Until you go to the referenced Calendar page and return.  From then on it is OK.  I have many customers complaining about "First Impressions".  As it is now I am going to have to remove the "Calendar List" from my front page until someone acknowledges it is a wider problem and provides a fix.

Thanks,

Mike

There is a workaround for the issue that astralvoid and BOSSupport describe (as long as you don't use categories): disable category select in the settings of the list  module instance. See this thread.

But the error reported by zaboomafoohotw seems to be something else. His/her error caused a "The added or subtracted value results in an un-representable DateTime" exception (I don't know either the reason for that), while the list view issue causes an "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" exception.
