Hmmm, have you tried uncommenting <identity impersonate="true"/> at all and adding userName="Domain\username" password="password"? I'm not sure if that'll fix it or not.

EDIT: I've fixed the problem you're seeing with #3 for the 4.6.0 code.

In the web.config?

So instead of this:

<!-- <identity impersonate="true"/>

<authentication mode="Windows">

</authentication>

-->

I would have this?

<identity impersonate="true" userName="Domain\username" password="password" />

<authentication mode="Windows"> </authentication>

Just uncomment the <identity impersonate="true" /> line. Leave the lines below it commented out.

Below is what I get when I do that.

EDIT: (repasted code)

<!-- Forms or Windows authentication -->
<authentication mode="Forms">
   <forms name=".DOTNETNUKE" protection="All" timeout="60" cookieless="UseCookies" />
   </authentication>
   <identity impersonate="true" />
<!--    <authentication mode="Windows"> </authentication> -->

Change the line to <identity impersonate="true" userName="Domain\Username" password="password" />. The domain user you use doesn't have to have any special permissions on the AD. Any user should work. However, you'll probably have to give the user account that you use the same permissions on your DNN install as the Network Service/ASPNET user has.

Like I said, I don't know if this will fix the problem but it's worth a shot.
