ok yes I must have added dotnetnuke.com to my trusted sites way back, but I can see from your site that it is happening with any popup blocker, not just Norton. It's blocking the links simply because of the method used used for rendering the links..  it's just plain outdated. Popup blockers have been the norm for a long time now and there are plenty of ways to generate a link that will not get blocked. A link rendered as plain html will not get blocked like this.

It's all up to Steve of course, given that it's his module to develop as he likes, but I'm in agreement with DV that it is more appropriate for applications to move with the times, rather than blame the end-user's systems and try and make them move backwards. The end-user's experience is paramount above all else as far as I'm concerned.

The project team should certainly let DV know if changing this is off the table forever, because I would suggest he change to another module before that video fx site gets any bigger. Either News Articles or Property Agent from Ventrian could likely be customised to suit.

That's just my two pennies on it.

Unfortunately, I am not a developper, and I can not help you, even if I would like to. As you already know, I am "supporting you" by testing each new dev. build as soon as possible, asking my admin to make ALL tests possible. So, from a developpment point of view, that's clear, I can not help you. But if I can help you in making some tests, no problem. For information, the way you proposed (SELF) does not work better, it is also blocked...

Thanks for your support and trying to find a solution. I felt alone in the past, now it seems that people start to be interested by this. I am SURE that MANY people can not open links in the directory page of the Dotnetnuke website. That's a pity...
Rob, I have also investigated News Article and Property Agent, unfortunately, it does not suit my desire (ensuring the click counting). If you have any other idea (commercial module on snowcover or elsewhere, I am opened). If other people want to modify the core repository, I will pay them, but the fees should be small enough !

PS: Why not looking at Ventrian News Article for the LINK ? He is tracking link click to his article, but he is not using a javascript. Maybe it can help ???
