I was getting the same errors as in your post and found that it is a problem with the DNN installer.   See this posting attached, and the entry by Onytech regarding the errors in the desktopmodules table, having -1 in the features field where it should be 0.   I had several from recent module installs, and when I fixed the table, the errors went away.

TMM, i'm having the same error as BigCheese and i don't think is the case you mentionated as i runned an [ SELECT * FROM DesktopModules WHERE SupportedFeatures = -1 ] and returned three rows, none of it from Blog Module. Anyway, i tried your UPDATE and nothing changed, the error remains.

i dont know if this may help but i got three users, each one with one blog. Two of then cause the error,  but one don't... i can't figure out what is different from then. and the error only occurs when you try to open the Recent Posts Module Options

I have continued to try numerous things and I still have the problem. I have looked at the database, I have looked at the module settings, I have looked at everything I can think of and am getting nowhere. Is there anyone out there that can provide me with any guidance? I would appreciate it very much.

I've just recently started using the Blog module, and have encountered this error. I'd like to see some action on this as well.

Hi Chris,

Sorry if this is a repeat, but the first message seems to have been deleted.

If you are able to send me a zipped backup of the database along with a zipped backup of the DotNetNuke directory I would love to help you troubleshoot this problem.

Thanks,

Don (my email address is easy, just append my company's domain--itcrossing.com--to my first name)

PS If the zip files are over 2MB, send me a separate message and I'll give you a URL where you can upload the files.

Thanks, Don. I'll compile the info, but I'm sure it WILL exceed 2MB  :D

On thing I did notice AFTER my initial post: I had activated the blog module on a new page, and had then MOVED it to the homepage. When the blog was originally created on the new page, the Module Options worked fine. They only stopped working when the whole shebang was moved to the homepage. Adding an additional Blog to the homepage directly has the same issues.

Thanks!
Chris
