When I test my local site on my dev server, the SMTP configuration test WORKS, and I receive the email.

When I create a new user account and assign a random password and select NOTIFY and AUTHORIZE, there is no email generated.

Any thoughts on this one?

I also do NOT get email notification when a valid user selects "Forgot Password," puts in their username, and hits Send Password.

Ok, this has something to do with the way DNN sends email, and I'm not sure I have it figured out yet.

It is related to the host email address [top part of the Host Settings page] and the site Admin's email address.

Items for the SMTP test are tested against the host email address, it seems, yet when site emails go out, they go out FROM the Admin's email address.

Is this the way it should be?
