hi , does anybody knows how can i be notified when a new user registers my portal .

(i would like dnn to send an email to host mail)

That happens automatically, you just need to setup the SMTP settings under Host/Host Settings.  Look under Advanced settings.  See page 60 of the DotNetNuke for Dummies book.

i have already set this settings for the smtp and it sends email to the new user.

it doesn't send email to the host account

what do i do wrong?

Possibly make sure that your host account has a valid email address.
