It was brought to my attention that the users on my forums cannot edit there own posts. As admin I have always been able to edit & delete posts. I logged in as one of the users to verify this and it is true. I checked the forum settings and did not see anything about editing. I did see an Authorized Edit Role under Edit Forum and the users are listed there, and are listed as Edit users in the forum container itself.

Anyone able to help me out on this? Thank you

Thanks

In a moderated forum, a user cannot edit their own post unless they are 'trusted'. (This means they don't need moderator approval for posts)

Sorry forgot the versions part.. We are running DNN 4.05.05 & Forums 3.20..09.

Chris, none of my forums are moderated, but I thought I would just try it and when I mark a user as Trusted they are now able to see Edit. This seems like a bug, because from what you said, if the forum is not moderated they should be able to edit even if not trusted.

No, the forum doesn't allow people to edit regardless unless they are trusted.
