Hello, I got this error too.  It has something to do with the installation.  I re-installed DNN and discoverd following error in the install-log:

Executing Additional Scripts:
00:00:12.718 -   Creating Portal: My Website
00:00:12.796 -   Error: Could not find a part of the path "D:\".
00:00:12.796 -   Portal failed to install:

But the installer says that the installation is completed.  Now I will try to figure out why the error occures and I'll keep you informed.

Hello, here I am again.  I found the solution to the problem.  The error occures because the installation isn't completed.  You should check if the user "NETWORK SERVICE" (on IIS6.0 on Win2003) or ASPNET (on IIS5 on WinXP and Win2000) have read-access to the root of the disk.  In the installation manual is nothing said about the read-permissions of the root of the disk, only about the root of the application.

My wwwroot folder is located on my D-disk of my webserver.  "NETWORK SERVICE" has no read permission on this disk (by default).  So, during installation, you have to set these permissions.

Of course, if you application folder is located in subfolders, NETWERK SERVICE should also have read-permission to those subfolders.

Hope this was helpfull for you all...
