The only permission that is required on the root is "read attributes".  This is much more restrictive than "read" permissions.  This problem has been well covered in the past on ASP.Net and it was an oversight not to include it in the documentation.  By default "NETWORK SERVICE" is given this permission on the system drive when IIS/ASP.Net is first installed.  Because you moved your web folders to a different drive then it requires you to also properly configure that drive.  We could certainly do a better job of documenting this issue, but it is also incumbent on users to be aware of general configuration issues for hosting web folders on anything other than the default location.

I have the same problem and I proceed the solution axplained above but it din^t work. What is wrong in this procedure.

My webfolder is exactly in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot\web\www.mydomain.com\

I gave "read permission" to all of these folders for "network service" user and "full permission" on www.mydomain.com folder. I install everything from beginning but it gives the same error Error: "The stored procedure 'dbo.GetFile' doesn't exist" and then the default page can not be opened by the error "Object reference not set to an instance of an object. "

Why can't I solve the problem? What is wrong?

Regards.

I have found a solution for Turkish members,

Read this forum http://forums.asp.net/1007668/ShowPost.aspx . It works really. A Turkish member solved the problem.

After 3 days working and come to about losing my hair I would say this turkish phrase: "ne varsa Türklerde var be"

Best Regards.
