I am completely new to DNN - just heard about it today. Have VWB express edition.  Tried to install 4.06 starter kit using instructions found in the DNN installation guide pdf document (skipped down to the version 4xx install instructions. The compiled modules will not install - error message says that "Installation stopped because the directory for the ProjectType value did not exist.  The project type is invalid for your installation of Visual Studio." However, the documentation indicates that the starter kit is the correct download for someone who is not running the full Visual Studio.

Is this an in the newest version that the previous version did not have? I browsed the threads but did not find this exact problem; perhaps didn't know what to look for.

Perhaps if there is a way to uninstall this version and install the previous version I could do that - or will that create more problems?
