You're updating directly from 3.1.1 to 4.6.2 ?

If you updating from 3.1.1  I recommand to do this in more steps.  About there are many changes, and it can be that the upgrade will brocken on same upgrade fails.

If I have to do a upgrade from 3.1.1 I first go to

 
DNN 3.2.2
DNN 3.3.7
DNN 4.4.0
DNN 4.5.0
DNN 4.6.2

After all steps it is recomannd, to look about errors in the updates.  You can look for it in the Event Viewer, or on the SqlDataProvider folder in the *.log files.  On error stop and call for support.  Please in a new thread.
