DNN 4.02 install

After renaming and editing the web.config file I get a server error when trying to access http://localhost/DotNetNuke.

Server Error in '/DotNetNuke' Application.

Configuration Error

Description: An error occurred during the processing of a configuration file required to service this request. Please review the specific error details below and modify your configuration file appropriately.

Parser Error Message: Unrecognized attribute 'requirePermission'.

Just remove the requirePermission attribute... That is the first I do when creating new DotNetNuke project...

If you change compiler debug parameter to True, you will get a more descriptive message that states that you will get error messages for these attributes until you set the web.config trust setting to "Full".

Bear in mind I am far from a expert here, but it seems you are trying to use .Net 1.1 for version 4.02 DNN... This version of DNN is .Net 2.0... Start IIS manager and select properties for your website then select the the ASP.Net tab.  Verify that ASP.Net version is 2.0******

I'm having the exact same problem.  when i switch to asp 2.0, i get a page not found message..  I know my site is working because I added an index.html page, and it finds that just fine, but for some reason it is having trouble with the default.aspx page..   any ideas?  thanks
