How long does it typically take to run the database install scripts when installing a new dotnetnuke using the default database.mdf file?

It says the Next button is disabled until it is done. It has been running quite a while, and I click the Next button and nothing happens. It's not disabled, it just doesn't do anything. It shows a javascript function. I don't know if it's hung up.

I used IE and it gave a javascript error when I clicked it, but with firefox it does nothing, and doesn't show an error on the screen or in the console. So I don't know if it's still running or if it is hung up.

Will there be a message indicating it is done running the database script and I can click the next button?

So far, I've had no luck with this install. This is my sixth attempt.

TIA.

it depends on the speed of your machine but typically 15-90 seconds, and when it's over the next button is enabled. If it's taking longer than that theres a problem. What version of dotnetnuke are you using, and what database? Theres an installer @ http://www.dotnetnuke.com/Products/Development/Projects/UtilityInstaller/Downloads/tabid/871/Default.aspx , it's a few versions old, but might be helpful diagnosing what the issue is as it checks for dependencies

In another post, Tom Kraak suggested:

"Try turning the install wizard off in the web.config "

I did that and it worked!

thanks!
