Hi westb,

please check your web.config that you have "unchecked" the write protection on this file.

The second Idea is:
If you have an backup of your original website and want to try the upgrade on a local machine (like me) for test it.
the Problem I figuered out is that if you want to upgrade a DNN at a local machine you copy it from the original and then copy the upgrade-files in this folder
----> It will 100percently crashs! there will be many different errors!

The problem is that you have to visit the copied Site at first! and maybe login and logout. After that you can stop IIS and copy the upgrade-files in the folder.

I dont know if that will be a solution for your problem but maybe you can try it.
I'am sorry for my bad english!!

greetings Marc
