I have installed DNN 4.6.2 and it work fine from the start.  The database is in the App_Data folder usng SQL 2005 Express.

I want to add some additional tables (not used in DNN) for some other applications.  The problem is, that as soon as I add a table, the DNN site will not attach to the database.  Can I not add tables to the default database?  If I can, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks.

If you are using the dynamically attached database file you will need to attach it FIRST then modify the table structure.

I personally recommend if you are having multiple uses for a database that you do NOT use the dynamically attached file and just create a blank SQL Server database to start with.
