This is my web.config below

the object qualifier seems to be =""

Is this right? Any ideas please?

<data defaultProvider="SqlDataProvider">
   <providers>
    <clear />
    <add name="SqlDataProvider"
     type="DotNetNuke.Data.SqlDataProvider, DotNetNuke.SqlDataProvider"
     connectionStringName="SiteSqlServer"
     upgradeConnectionString=""
     providerPath="~\Providers\DataProviders\SqlDataProvider\"
     objectQualifier=""
     databaseOwner="dbo" />

That is where your problem resides. Your previous installation had "turnster" as its object qualifier and you did not run an upgrade but an installation by omitting the object qualifier.

Damn it!

Can i just change this in the web.config and re-upload the file, then browse to the site again and all will be ok?

Or is it all over for me and i will need to try and get a restore done then reupgrade?

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly.

Nick

To ensure you do it right this time, you should do a restore. Some tables from the membership provider could have been overlapped. So restore both your DB and your files, then go with the upgrade again.

The best practice is to do this on your own dev environment before attempting it live.

Thanks for this and i will ask discounasp.net to perform a restore then perform the upgrade again. Also i will try and create a dev environment at home in order to test any future upgrades.

Is there anymore keys or object functions that i could have changed without remembering and therefore could also affect the upgrade again?

Thanks once again for your help.
