Hi,

I'm new to DNN,actually I have'nt used it before.

I downloaded the latest version 04.06.2 and rather than spending huge amounts of timefiguring it out.I'm hoping that some one can tell me where specificly I should place the different folders when I use FTP to upload them?

Also is it necessary to rename or modify any files before I upload them.(the 'release.config' and 'web.config' files are exactly the same, I think , same size and very similar content at first glance. )

Anyway  will very much appreciate any help,

I use Plesk 7.6, and assume 8 is the same structure. You will need to create your site in Plesk first. This will setup a folder in C:\Inetpub\vhosts along the lines of C:\Inetpub\vhosts\mydomain.com. Within this you will find httpdocs into which you should unzip the DNN install.

I would suggest you download the DNN documentation and read the DotNetNuke Installation Guide pdf. This should give you all the info you need.
