OK, I finally have the luxury of having too many computers with different OS’s. I am going to install DNN on Win2003 server because it’s running the web server to the outside world. I want to do some development on my Win2K machine using VS2005. What’s the best way to set this up? Using a separate DNN install using the StarterKit on the W2K machine? How would you set it up?

Personally I would defenetly install the starter kit there are some nice templates there.

For development purposes I would set up a clean install of DNN for testing purposes.   I would develop everything on the clean install of DNN.

If you are developing modules I would add a new page for each module while the module is in development.  I have ran into a few instances where I have mesed up coding a module, and it prevented the whole page from loading, and I lost everything on the page because I had to deleate the page.  So put the module on its own page when you are testing it

If you are developing skins the preview button is your best friend

Hope this helps

Mike
